The SJA Glossary

A

Age of Forgotten Promise - Historical era characterized by stagnation, peace, and lies. Named ironically as the Promise continues to rise and die, but their purpose seems forgotten or meaningless.

Age of Spiraling Truths (Present Day) - Current historical era characterized by enlightenment, rupture, and return. Present day: 961 years after the first Call Game began.

AGC (After Great Cataclysm) - Calendar marker denoting years since the great Severing cataclysm. All modern history is measured from this point. The "before" is largely unknowable except to Thrice Risen who remember fragments.

Akombozu - Those who advance swiftly through the Rites of Euxen are said to be Akombozu; souls reliving unfinished harmonies from past lives.

Anza Veil - Living rainforest sanctuary in South Suhanza. A sentient ecosystem, considered the heart of Djah's surviving harmony and the last living fragment of the First Song.

Asayara (The Trifold Light) - The threefold solar system that illuminates Djah, consisting of three distinct suns; Azayika, Asha, Aroro. Together they govern natural rhythm and ritual, forming the eternal cycle of birth, life, and death.

Asayara Crown Council - First pillar of the Suhanari Jaurojira Agizo. Focuses on spiritual harmony and is led by the Jaurojiri Officials who are Peme Euxireth. Maintains the spiritual integrity of the Veil, interprets the First Song, guides collective attunement, identifies and trains the next Promise when they rise, and selects the four companions for each Call Game.

Ashelewa (The Kingdom Reached Beyond) - The highest philosophical and spiritual ideal in Suhanari culture. Believed to be the realm of ultimate jauroji where the truest vibrations align perfectly with the flow of creation.

Ashen Span, The - Haunted desert of rhovask ruins. Contains the ruins of Threnazem, its a forbidden zone where old eux rhovaski and ghosts of the past linger.

Ashsingers - Ulkoran exploration groups formed to decipher the instability of their land. Emerged formally during the Age of Reclamation.

Ayavelah - Figure of contested history. Infamous eux rhovaski created by The Promise and The Family but now emits The Ishara signal, corrupting life.

B

Bakhren

Bakhren - One of three attunement control activities. To deliberately decrease jauroji vibration, lowering one's frequency to align flow, calm disturbances, or conceal presence.

Broken Lands, The - Territories where reality remains fractured from the Severing. Where Djah's laws no longer hold constant. Home to Tekborn, Mashinebound, and horrors born from corrupted jauroji. The Call Game must traverse these lands to reach Ayavelah. Most who enter do not return.

C

The Call Game - The sacred quest undertaken each cycle when The Promise rises. Their primary duty is to find and destroy Ayavelah permanently. In recorded history spanning over 900 years, no Call Game has ever succeeded in permanently terminating Ayavelah.

The Cradle - High-mountain sanctuary where Djah-Okiras live. All inhabitants are Peme Euxireth, even apprentices. A place of oracular vision and balance-keeping.

D

Djah (The World)

Djah (The World) - The name given to the world after the Severing partly erased history. Named after the mysterious foundational principle of jaurojira as a reminder to never forget the greatest mystery and to keep trying to find the answer. Known continents: Suhanza, Vermeyat, Ulkora.

Djah (Foundational Principle) - The mysterious foundational principle underlying all jaurojira. Not a force, energy, or substance, but the capacity itself, the reason attunement is possible.

Djah-Okiras - Oracles who have devoted their lives to keeping the balance of Djah.

Djamakh - Second city built post-Severing during the Age of Reclamation. Formed by members from the Serathi, Lirathi, and Nureli tribes.

Duraeth (The Internal Realm) - First of three jaurojira realms. Encompasses body, mind, and emotion of self. The foundation for all attunement; one cannot perceive external frequencies without first knowing one's own.

E

The Eagle - Fourth of The King's Charge. Knows paths through the Broken Lands where reality remains fractured from the Severing. Can sense safe passages and navigate territories where Djah's laws no longer hold constant.

Era of Birthsong - The age before the Severing when jaurojira emerged and the world existed in peace and balance. The First Song was whole, the world unified, and all life resonated in harmony. The golden age now lost to memory, knowable only in fragments by Peme Euxireth.

Eux Rhovaski - A specialized category of rhovaski created through master-level rhovask kutengeneza. These objects possess animate qualities that allow them to: grow autonomously based on use and experience. Ancient eux rhovaski may be impossibly powerful.

F

The Family - The Promise's bloodline and closest kin. They helped create Ayavelah. Their bloodlines are now maintained by the SJA for strongest jauroji sensitivity.

Fi-fyre Jauroji - Evolved jauroji caused after quano jauroji. The stronger jauroji requires an acclimatization period during which temporary vibrational conflict occurs, causing temporary shavonu. Results in permanently increased capacity and enhanced ability.

First Song, The - The original wave that created life before the Severing. The Suhanari teach that the Anza Veil is the last living fragment of this primordial harmony. All life once resonated with the First Song; the Veil preserves this frequency in living form.

Forest Rejection - The Veil's response to severe shavonu within individuals. Manifests as sickness, misfortune, or vanishing, the forest consuming or expelling those whose vibrations disrupt harmony.

Freestyle - Hybrid human-animal entities born of ancient pacts. Result of deep Spiritbinding or Yirami between humans and animals, creating permanent fusion.

Frequency - The vibrational signature of any being, object, or concept. Every thing possesses a frequency, animate or inanimate, physical or conceptual. Jaurojira practice is fundamentally the art of perceiving, aligning with, influencing, and creating frequencies.

G

The Gee Stone - Sacred site of first jauoji activity.

Gyre King, The - The most enduring and elusive figure in Djah's fractured memory, simultaneously a person, a principle, and a phenomenon Pre-Severing. SJA reveres teachings but forbids methods, seeing him as both creator and corrupter.

H

Harvest Units, The - Specialised Preservation Guard teams dispatched by the SJA outside the Anza Veil to hunt and eliminate Tekborn and Mashinebound.

The Water - First of The King's Charge. Keeper of flesh, master of regenerative jaurojira. Ensures The Promise's mortal vessel remains strong enough to complete the hunt.

Hollow Reaches, The - Crystalline canyons amplifying thought and memory. Natural acoustic and jauroji amplifiers where inner states become overwhelming. Dangerous for those without strong Duraeth mastery.

Huisha Tiers - Levels of Umzoi practice. Nine tiers known, with the ninth being recently unlocked during the Age of Forgotten Promise. Described as dangerous and draining.

I

Imbalance - A fundamental violation of jauroji's nature. Jauroji abhors imbalance; attempting to Myr Zaluku without proper Uxorim or creating without equivalent exchange results in severe viroskara.

The Ishara (Signal) - An ancient frequency emitted from Ayavelah that The Promise and only a few can hear.

J

Janikizuli - The highest and most dangerous technique of jaurojira, executable only after one has achieved Myr Zaluku. The expression of a Myr Zaluku manifestation in Juxaeth, making thought physically real.

Jauroji

Jauorji - The phenomena existing in all things: life, matter, and thought. It can be attuned, impressed, or expressed. Jauorji is what jaurojiri work with.

Jaurojira - The art of manipulating life, matter, and thought with jauroji.

Jaurojiri - A practitioner of jaurojira. One who has learned to perceive, impress, and potentially express through attunement with jauorji.

Juxaeth (The External Realm) - Second of three jaurojira realms. Encompasses understanding of others, objects, and environment. Can only be accessed after achieving internal clarity. External attunement requires timing, precision, and deep awareness of the subject's rhythm.

K

Kaevor - One of four primary Suhanari tribes inhabiting the Anza Veil.

The King's Charge - The five who walk The Call Game: The Promise and four companions (The Water, The Vow, The Story, The Eagle). Chosen by the SJA through divine ceremony and sent to hunt Ayavelah.

Kiru-akh

Kiru-akh (Myoshara Luma) - Specialized classification for pemeyara jaurojiri who consistently channel jauroji to connect, inspire, and guide. Kiru-akhs sustain the flow between Rexulans and Zarenis, ensuring growth doesn't destroy and protection doesn't stagnate.

Kuku Jauroji - Corrupted jauroji created as a result of vibrational conflict, contamination, or overuse. The altered jauroji causes viroskara in those who possess or are exposed to it.

L

Lanuha - Groves outside Anza Veil, inhabited by the Wildsongs of the Djah. Territory of those who reject conventional society. Wilder and less structured than the Veil but not complete wilderness.

Life - One of three fundamental aspects through which jauroji manifests. Represents animate being, consciousness, and vital force. One of the three realms jaurojira operates across.

Myr Zaluku

Myr Zaluku (The Art of Manifestation) - Third of the three core states. Always requires the complete Djaira: (1) Belief, (2) Sacrifice, (3) Intent. Those who fail the Djaira suffer severe viroskara. Myr Zaluku is the foundation for Janikizuli.

N

Naramiel Ridge - A special place in Anza Veil and a site for the Trial of Euxen.

Nullshank - Technique that severs a target's connection to jauroji, temporarily blocking their ability to attune, impress, or express.

Preservation Guard, The - Third pillar of the Suhanari Jaurojira Agizo. Focuses on practical governance and enforcement. Led by Teme Euxireth members of the Jaurojiri Officials. Ensures the laws of the Veil are upheld, protects against external threats and internal conflict.

The Promise - The one who possessed unparalleled mastery of jaurojira, though powerful, remained mortal. Helped create Ayavelah to ensure continuity during sovereign absence. The chosen leader to complete The Call Game and destroy Ayavelah permanently. However in over 900 years since the first Call Game, no Promise has ever succeeded.

Q

Quano Jauroji - A critical explosive state caused by overuse of jauroji through training, desperation, or greed. When jauroji is depleted but the practitioner continues drawing on it, the jauroji swells and explodes. The transformation results in either kuku jauroji or fi-fyre jauroji.

The Quiet Ones - Dissenters who practice jaurojira in secret, exploring forbidden techniques. They question whether all SJA prohibitions are necessary.

R

Realms - The three domains through which jauroji operates and can be accessed: Duraeth, Juxaeth, and Okrath. Mastery progresses from internal to external to astral.

The Rejoining - A whispered prophecy among Suhanari and Djah-Okiras that one day, the jaurojira will unify again, and Djah will become One once more. The belief that the Severing can be reversed. Some work toward it, some fear it, some dismiss it.

The Severing - The cataclysm that shattered the Whole into three lands; Suhanza, Vermeyat, and Ulkora. The world was once unified in geography, consciousness, and jaurojira practice.

Shavonu - Vibrational conflict created when jauroji frequencies clash or are improperly manipulated. Causes temporary attunement issues due to vibrational conflict which can create kuku jauroji if sustained. Damages both practitioner and subject.

Spiral Supreme, The - An encrypted rhovask manuscript allegedly containing the Gyre King's final theorem of jaurojira balance. Location unknown. Part of his enduring legacy. May hold keys to understanding or reversing the Severing.
